Description

Frontline combat cameramen record the battles and campaigns fought by the British 8th Army in Italy. Much of this film has never been shown on DVD. Highlights include dramatic footage of landings from Operation Huskey, Salerno and Anzio, the 8th Army street fighting in Naples and on the outskirts of Rome, and an extensive sequence devoted to the ferocious battles for Monte Cassino.
