Full description from the producer:
Guy Martin has joined the ultimate engineering project to restore one of the world’s most iconic fighter planes.
He will help with every stage of a two year re-build of a wrecked Mark I Spitfire, which was dug out of a French beach just a few years ago, and learn the original hand-crafted skills needed to make vital new parts. He’ll fit the parts, attach the wings, test the engine, paint the fuselage and fix some of the million-plus rivets which have to be kept at sub-zero temperatures.
If Guy can master all the necessary skills, this priceless aeroplane will return to the skies for the first time in more than 70 years.
