Description

This fascinating DVD is an appraisal of the huge variety of locomotives used on the Swanage Railway since its opening to the public in the 1980s. Without lengthy voice-overs, we see footage of pure steam action with locomotives such as the LSWR Class T9 No. 30120, the M7 30053, doubleheaded un-rebuilt Bulleids, when No. 34105 ‘Swanage’ visited. ‘Port Line’, ‘257 Squadron’, the Ivatt No. 41312, the two Standard tanks and the first views of No. 34028 ‘Eddystone’ as she emerges out of Herston Works for entry into traffic. It also features 5619, 41708, 47383, 30053, 30120, 80078 & 80104.
