The enthralling story of cellist Anita Lasker-Wallfisch, who played and created music amidst the terrors of the Holocaust. An interview with the 99-year-old musician, the only living survivor to have played in one of the Auschwitz orchestras, frames the documentary. It explores how the Nazis used and abused music at their largest death camp: by demanding concerts for their entertainment, and marches to accompany slave labour groups leaving and returning each day.
