Full description from producer:
Orphaned at 19, the glamorous identical twins Maria and Frieda (Mary and Madeleine Collinson) move from Vienna to the village of Karnstein to live with their kind, submissive aunt (Kathleen Byron – Black Narcissus) and grim uncle Gustav Weil (Peter Cushing – Dracula, Frankenstein). Gustav is a fanatical Puritan and leader of The Brotherhood, a religious sect feared for their witch hunts and burnings. Gustav is determined to kill his nemesis, Count Karnstein (Damien Thomas), a devil-worshipping libertine who has been turned into a vampire by his ravishingly beautiful undead ancestor. One day, while out walking with her sister, Frieda is lured into the Count’s coach and whisked off to Karnstein Castle… Directed with suitable style and energy by John Hough (Dempsey and Makepeace, American Gothic), Twins of Evil features another sterling appearance by Hammer stalwart Peter Cushing, this time as a fanatical Puritan. The film also stars Dennis Price (Victim, Theatre of Blood) as the vampire’s pimp and Playboy Playmates Mary and Madeleine Collinson as the twins.
