Cab Rides Around The British Isles (No. 18): Machynlleth-Pwllheli
Enjoy the view from the front of Sprinter Unit No. 150129 on 11th May 1988, travelling on the beautiful Cambrian Coast Line. on which the crossing of Barmouth bridge is always a spectacle. The timetable was as follows: Machynlleth – depart 10.42, Pwllheli – arrive 12.44.
We would like to thank BR (LMR) Public Affairs for arranging this cab ride, also Inspector Graham Whitefoot and the crews concerned for their help and the informative commentary en route. They related their experiences of a recently-run steam excursion over the line and of their early days on the Railway.
Please note there is no commentary other than cab conversations which are not always audible above locomotive sounds.
