Cab Rides Around The British Isles (No. 4): Exeter to Plymouth
This DVD was recorded from the cab of Class 50 No. 50022 on 16th April 1985 on the 09.25 Paddington to Penzance train from Exeter St. David’s to Plymouth. At the time of the run Exeter St. David’s was in the process of being resignalled. The train was booked to depart Exeter at 12.22 and arrive at Plymouth at 13.29. However, the 06.28 HST from Bradford was running late and it was arranged for us to stop at Newton Abbott to make a connection with this train, so our Plymouth arrival was at 13.50.
We would like to thank the Western Region Public Affairs department for arranging this trip and all the train crew involved. Please note there is no commentary other than cab conversations which are not always audible above locomotive sounds.
